New Registration of the construction workers - BOCW

Service Description:  New / fresh registration through Nirman Sakhi portal for building & other construction workers who are already not registered with the Assam BOCW Board as beneficiaries.


  1. If the applicant is a first time user, he/she needs to click the Register Tab provided in top right corner in this page and then get registered with the necessary fields such as Full Name, Mobile No., Email id (which is not mandatory), State and Password.
  2. Then the applicant needs to login with the credentials, by clicking the Login Tab.
  3. After the applicant has logged on to the system, he/she needs to click the Apply Online tab and select the service they want to apply for and click the apply button after going through the Requirements tab.
  4. Applicant has to fill up the form and upload the required supporting documents.
  5. On final submission of the form, applicant has to pay the requisite amount.
  6. Once the payment is successful it will be forwarded to the higher officials for further processes. An acknowledgement will be generated containing the application reference no., the same will be notified over SMS and Email id of the applicant.
  7. An SMS and Email alert is sent to applicant on completion of the service. The applicant needs to respond to the SMS and Email regarding completion of the service.
  8. The applicant will be notified about this over SMS and Email and the applicant can download it from ARTPS portal.

Eligibility Criteria and mandatory requirements:

1. Age of construction worker shall be between 18 to 55 years.

2. The worker shall not be a member of any other welfare fund.

3. Minimum 90 days of construction related work experience in last 12 months.

4. Must have Aadhaar number and active mobile number linked to the Aadhaar number for verification through OTP.

5. Must have eShram UAN number.

6. Workers with permanent address outside Assam must have either present address or work location within Assam.


Supporting Documents :

  1. Present address proof (if permanent and present address are not same): Driving License / Voter ID card / Ration card / Bank passbook / 90-days construction work experience certificate.
  2. Aadhaar linked bank passbook.
  3. 90-days construction work experience certificate. The format of 90-days construction work experience certificate can be downloaded from the Nirman Sakhi Portal. (abocwwb.assam.gov.in)


Stipulated Time Limit : 30 days

Fees :

  1. Registration Fee: Rs.25/- as one-time application fee.
  2. Service charge (through PFC/CSC) - Rs. 30.
  3. Printing charge (in case of any printing from PFC/CSC) - Rs. 10 per page.
  4. Scanning charge (in case documents are scanned in PFC/CSC) - Rs. 5 per page.
  5. Convenience fee - Rs. 10
